been sick again. i was better for a bit and thought that it was over, but got stomach aches again over the weekend. while i feel fine now, i know that it won't be long before i feel sick again, and i hate it. my mum has it too.
haven't really had much spare time lately - i have to stuff around with some students' assignments from last semester cos they were too slack to hand them in on time. i can't believe that my uni is so lenient on students who don't get their work in on time! i know there are some genuine cases, but it's absolutely ridiculous when i have to mark work that's been handed in 2 months late!!! i know i'm slack with stuff at times but that is just crazy!
also had my cousins stay with us for a bit during the holidays and the youngest one came over again for the weekend.
i have finally caught up a bit on my mail although i still owe a few swaps but i managed to get almost all the bigger ones out of the way (just have Candy left to do!), and i've written a few letters when i've had a bit of downtime. speaking of mail, i'm pissed off about the price of international mail going up again! first they weren't going to charge us gst, then they did, and now it's going up again!
i'm so excited about getting a puppy! woo hoo! well, she's not the tiny puppy variety, she's about 6 months old and her owners don't want her anymore because she hasn't been trained and they have small kids who can't cope with her. apparently she's naughty, but i'll fix that pretty quickly! i braved the weather today (it's been pouring all day!) to get her some toys. hopefully i'll get her by the end of the week. oh and she's a black labrador :)
