lots of work!

i have been flat out working since i updated last, which is why i haven't updated (duh!). i'm now working in the IT department, which is what i'm trained for and what i enjoy and i'm having a great time there. i was so bored working in the engineering department and the days used to drag on. now the days go so much quicker and it's awesome! unfortunately it's meant that i really haven't done much else at all. the house resembles a bomb as we get ready to have the bathroom fixed (after the tiles literally exploded off the floor!). there's stuff everywhere and i don't know where to put what, or what to put where! i haven't updated my site at all, let alone thought of the colour scheme and design.
on the up side, lilly now sleeps in my room (she used to sleep in the bathroom) and is so incredibly well behaved! she doesn't touch a thing! she is improving every day :)
haven't really got anything out of the ordinary to report, but here's what's happened this week:
- i had a brilliant time at the footy last week when the crows hammered port! woo hoo!!!
- i am a league tenpin bowler (although i'm not quite up to scratch yet) and it's loads of fun! i bought a pair of shoes last week since i go there often enough to make it worth the expense, and they were on special - reduced from $90 to $55!! first the guy at the shop offered to reduce them to $70 which we thought was ok, then when he scanned them, they came to even less!
- i've been saving lots of $$ - i set up a house/travel fund that i'm regularly transferring money into. now i just have to continue being disciplined!
and for the week ahead...
- i'm looking forward to this weekend - i'm staying home for the whole time to catch up on all the things that need doing, starting with cleaning my room and getting all the extra stuff out of the way.
- i am going to catch up on some mail. i have 4 3kg satchels that are *almost* ready to be posted. i am determined to get them out of the house and into a postbox by monday morning! i also have some returns to send home. i just bought a pile of o/s stamps so that i can get rid of them all. seems that every time something has to be returned to someone outside oz, someone sends it to me :(
- i'm going to test out my bowling shoes tonight. yay!
