ahhhh... i'm on my own at work now - everyone else in my department has left for wagga wagga. i can now have a relaxing day and i've got some slams to do at lunch time too :)
haven't been doing much lately - just the usual stuff - footy, bowling, playing with the dog, cleaning, trying to organise my stuff. like i said, the usual. i'm looking forward to the long weekend mainly for the extra day off work to catch up on stuff. this weekend my cousins are coming over and we're gonna go see star wars and then go bowling afterwards.
i discovered something funky yesterday! it all started when i pulled out some slams to do at lunch time and my friend wanted to know what they were. i explained the whole thing and then he told me that it's kinda similar to what's known as book crossing. it involves people leaving books in public places for other people to read and comment on on the internet who in turn leave the book somewhere for someone else to read and comment on, and so on and so on. each book has a unique id which means that its travels can be followed by anyone who has read it. the aim is to make the world a library. it's literally a treasure hunt for books! pretty cool hey? something that i had never even noticed or thought about! the funny thing is that there's supposed to be 10 books at a cafe that i went to last friday!
