i went to the show on thursday after work. we were meant to leave early at 4, but ended up leaving at 5 instead so that was 1 less hour of show time. i went straight to the dog hall cos i wanted to have a quick look at all the doggies before they got packed up and taken home. saw an old school friend there and her dog won best of breed :). on the way out i grabbed a doggy show bag for lilly full of lots of stuff to play with, and also to eat although i can't give it to her until we get rid of this ear infection... we did the 'yellow brick road' thing for the first time ever, even though it's really aimed at kids! that sent us on a trail around the whole place and i picked up plenty of stuff on the way. as usual i enjoyed the jubilee pavilion the most - it's full of displays from odd shops and charity organisations. i bought my obligitory bear from animals asia (they do a brilliant job rescuing and rehabilitating moon bears, as well as giving jobs to people who used to farm them to give them added incentive to not go back to this evil practice in the future. they also rescue dogs and use them as therapy for sick people) and i found a bamboo bag from a shop that's about to open in the city. i also visited the christmas light shop to see what they've got on offer this year and i've already picked out what i'd like to get. hehe :). i also found this awesome rubber soccer ball for lilly - it's got dents in it big enough for her to put the ball in her mouth and carry it around. it was expensive ($10) but has turned out to be worth it - she carries it around with her everywhere and it doesn't have a hole in it!!! now that's amazing. we saw some more people we knew (not so hard to do when there are so many people there in the first place!) and then went to get some showbags. not only for ourselves, but for several other people! i got the mlp one, and care bears (but of course!) and the big cadbury one and the freddo one. i now have an excessive amount of chocolate, and i've put it all in my funky cadbury cooler bag. a stash that will last me a long time :) buggered as anything after that, we decided not to stick around for the fireworks, coming home instead and going to bed. i'm still not quite sure how i managed to eat through $200. fortunately for me we went the day after pay day and i'm being a tightass for the next 2 weeks so i can keep saving for my house/car/holiday.
